Frequently Asked Questions about Editing
What does the editing process look like?
When you email me about an editing project, I’ll respond with a project intake form for you to complete. It gives me all the details about your project—the word count, genre, summary, type of editing requested, and so on. This helps me determine if I’m the right editor to help you and create your custom quote.
Once we agree on the project details, we’ll both sign a simple contract that clearly states what work I’ll be doing, the deadline, and the cost. I’ll invoice you for a 50% deposit to confirm your booking.
I edit using Track Changes in Microsoft Word.
How much will editing cost?
Editing costs are determined by the number of words in the manuscript, the type of editing requested, and level of editing needed. Contact me for a custom quote and free sample edit to learn how much editing your manuscript will cost.
How do you accept payment?
I accept payment through interac e-transfer, credit card, or Paypal.
“I loved working with Trisha! She was prompt, thorough, and incredibly helpful. She was very easy to work with and very careful with my manuscript. She kept lots of contact with me not only through the project, but after she had finished as well. I’m very thankful for her expertise and kindnesses, and look forward to working with her again.”
