Ahhhh!! How beautiful is she?!?!

This gorgeous book was written by my dear friend @brennabaileybooks and I was overjoyed when she shared this copy with me the other day.

A TALE OF TWO FLORISTS publishes March 9, 2023 and is available for pre-order right now.

I am so freaking proud of my friend and this delightful story she has created.

It's a lovely romance between two ladies in their seventies who have competing florist shops in a small town.

But seriously, when your friend writes such a wonderful story how can you not shout about it from the rooftops? 💛

Hi friends!

If you saw my story today you'll know I've got a new client opportunity.

I'm looking for someone who wants help:
⭐ building a list of literary agents to query
⭐ developing a querying strategy
⭐ writing a query letter and synopsis

These things are necessary if you want to be traditionally published.

I work with romance novels or fantasy novels with strong romantic threads.

Ideally, this writer is a woman too, because I want to focus my editing/book coaching business on helping women make progress toward their writing goals.

The best part: you'll get all this help for free!

Why? Because this is a new service for me and it's part of my @AuthorAccelerator training. You'll be my practicum client and the work I do for you will be evaluated by the certification team that will be determining if I have the skills to be called a certified book coach: fiction.

If you want to learn more, send me a message. I'd love to chat with you about your book and if this or any of my other services would be a good fit for you.

Thank you @ericasautingmckenzie!

I've seen a lot of really interesting posts about this book and I'm intrigued. But I'm also a little nervous because it's outside my normal genre.

Cue my lovely friend E sending it to me for a Christmas present. We're going to buddy read it later this year together. :)

Have you ever done a buddy read? Any tips?

My #CurrentlyReading stack is bigger than normal and less romantic too. (There is one romance --> swipe to see my audio book.)

I've been slowly working my way through Save the Cat Writes a Novel but had to set it aside for two reasons: 1) I don't read nonfiction when I'm on vacation and 2) I need to read On Writing for this week's book club.

I started Windwitch this morning and love that it takes place only two weeks after the end of Truthwitch. I'm already sensing that it will be as difficult to put down as that book too.

I saw Ten Rules for Faking it somewhere (here on Instagram or maybe it was talked about in a podcast 🤷🏼‍♀️) and immediately placed a hold with my library for the audiobook. It's been a delightful addition to my household tasks and driving these last few days.

What's in your currently reading stack?

Have you read @authorsarahadams books yet?! I discovered her last year and I CANNOT GET ENOUGH.

Do I have a book to read for Saturday's book club discussion? Yes.
Do I have writing to do? Yes.
Do I have coaching biz stuff to do? Yes.
Do I have 4 library books to read? Yes.

Am I doing any of that? Nope.

I can't put this book down. (Okay...I can when I need to care for my child or post on Instagram 🤪...but you know what I mean.)

Why am I loving this book ( and all of Sarah's books that I've read) so much? Because the characters are delightful, warm and fuzzy and sarcastic and hilarious. The situations are ridiculous in the best ways and the romances grow in such sweet sweet moments on top of sweet sweet moments.

And no, this post is not sponsored in any way. I just like sharing books and authors that I like.

Time to read my book club book before we meet to chat about it next weekend. :)

Have you read Stephen King's memoir ON WRITING? What did you think?

(And yes, when I read non-fiction books, I highlight, underline, write margin notes, and add sticky flags.)

This is the cover of an absolutely hilarious romantic comedy.

I heard the author @aliciabooks on the @happywriterpodcast and immediately placed a hold with my library. And I'm so glad the book came available while I was on my vacation.

A quick summary and review for you:

Phoebe is working toward her PhD and her topic is serial killer literature. She's obsessed and used the creepy obsession to avoid talking about her feelings or any serious subject by constantly making jokes or comments related to serial killers. She also sees serial killers everywhere she turns, including when she meets her new neighbour. She's just moved into her late dad's house to clean it up and get ready to sell it. The neighbour, Sam, is super good looking and helpful. And Phoebe is weirded out by it. Her brother, Connor is a total sweetheart too.

I loved how this book explores so many aspects of grief and love. It's funny and sweet and a little spicy too.

I finally, finally, finally picked up TRUTHWITCH by @stdennard and, friends, why did I wait so long???

This book was so much fun. It is intense, the world is so incredibly interesting, and the tension between the characters is fabulous.

I finished this book this afternoon and immediately looked up the sequel. Lucky for me, my library has it and the ebook was available to borrow.

How often do you immediately pick up the next book in a series?
