Part of a Fandom? Whether bookish or TV or movie, there’s probably a cookbook for that!
Last month I had the opportunity to proofread a friend’s cookbook. I’m no master chef, but reading cookbooks makes me want to try. (I probably shouldn’t since I’m skilled enough to burn rice in a rice cooker…) It got me thinking about how many different cookbooks are out there — too many to count – and what kind of specialty cookbooks might exist.
And that brought me down the internet rabbit hole of fandom cookbooks…from books to settings to TV shows to movies to video games. Basically, if you can imagine it, there’s likely a cookbook that someone has officially or unofficially created. It’s a lot of fun to look through them.
Another plus, these might make some really fun Christmas gifts for the chefs in the family. I may be pegging one or two of these for my husband. 😉
Anne of Green Gables
The Anne Of Green Gables Cookbook: Charming Recipes From Anne And Her Friends In Avonlea This book looks absolutely lovely and includes recipes for snacks and meals mentioned in the books, and even, apparently, some recipes from L.M. Montgomery’s own kitchen.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
The Little Women Cookbook: Tempting Recipes From The March Sisters And Their Friends And Family With a new movie, this book is sure to get some new fans. This cookbook is filled with recipes inspired by the novel, quotes from the book, and anecdotes about Louisa May Alcott.
The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook: From Cauldron Cakes to Knickerbocker Glory–More Than 150 Magical Recipes for Wizards and Non-Wizards Alike I also found two others, Spellbinding Recipes For Famished Witches And Wizards that is solely Harry Potter and The Wizard’s Cookbook with recipes inspired by Harry Potter and other wizards like Merlin and the Wizard of Oz.
Outlander Kitchen: The Official Outlander Companion Cookbook A ton of readers (and TV watchers) adore Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander in which a woman from the 1940s is transported back to 18th century Scotland. These books feature recipes from across the book series. The second book comes out in 2020.
The Peanuts Family Cookbook: Delicious Dishes for Kids to Make with Their Favorite Grown-Ups Who doesn’t love Charlie Brown and Snoopy? These books look like they’d be great for helping kids learn some kitchen skills. There’s a holiday cookbook too!
Game of Thrones
A Feast Of Ice And Fire: The Official Game Of Thrones Companion Cookbook: The Official Companion Cookbook For the fans of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books that spawned the huge TV show, there’s an official cookbook. I didn’t know George was into that sort of thing.
TV Fandom Cookbooks
The Official Downton Abbey Cookbook and The Unofficial Downton Abbey Cookbook, Expanded Edition: From Lady Mary’s Crab Canapés to Christmas Plum Pudding Both of these books are filled with recipes inspired by the upstairs and downstairs of Downton Estate. Perhaps you want to try them both and see which if better, the official or the unofficial? 🙂
The One with All the Recipes: An Unofficial Cookbook For Fans Of Friends This cookbook is basically a tribute to the show and is filled with inside jokes for those fans who’ve seen every episode thirty-seven times.
Eat Like a Gilmore: The Unofficial Cookbook for Fans of Gilmore Girls was created by fans for fans and is filled with recipes, cooking tips, and fun facts about the show. The author came out with a second book with 100 more recipes, and you can even get both books in a bundle.
The Good Place
Forking Good: An Unofficial Cookbook For Fans Of The Good Place This book is a great way to learn about philosophy. Each recipe title references a philosopher or concept from the show, and explains them in a way that even Eleanor can understand.

The Pokémon Cookbook: Easy & Fun Recipes Bring the Pokemon characters to your table in fun, foody ways with this very kid-friendly cookbook.
Movie Fandom Cookbooks
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook This brand new cookbook includes recipes for food you might find at the new Disney Parks.
Wookiee Cookies: A Star Wars Cookbook This 1990s cookbook includes recipes for things like Boba Fett-Uccine and Princess Leia Danish Dos. I may need this book for the recipe titles alone!
Entertaining with Disney: Exceptional Events From Mickey Mouse To Moana! This book is absolutely stunning! It includes recipes and decor and activity ideas for elegant Disney parties.
The Countdown to a Cozy Christmas Cookbook: An Unofficial Cookbook for Fans of Hallmark Movies Last but not least, if you really want to get into the Christmas mood, this book might be just what you want.

Do you know of other cookbooks I could add to this list?
