It’s November. And that means, it’s NaNoWriMo.

Also know as National Novel Writing Month, NaNoWriMo is an annual writing challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November.

I participated in NaNoWriMo last year for the first time. It was a brutal month. NaNo is HARD! But I did it. I met my 50K goal. And my book has been sitting on my hard drive since then. It’s still not actually finished…

I decided not to participate in NaNo this year for a few reasons: I’m desperately behind on my blogging and I don’t want to fall further behind, I’m running a few events at work, I’ve started a new job as of November 1, and I’m trying to get my ducks in a row to get my editing business actually up and running and successful. Oh, and I’m super behind on my Etsy shop listings too. Basically, I’ve overcommitted myself to a ton of really awesome stuff, and adding the pressure of one more, especially one as big as NaNo would not be a wise move for my physical or mental health.

But…

I’m super impressed with and proud of everyone who is doing NaNoWriMo. And with that in mind, I thought I’d send you some encouragement as you battle your word count.

    Hello!
I’m running a club at christianwriters.com for NaNoWriMo. I reposted your blog post there. I am noticing a number of us on the sidelines doing a lot of cheering.
