How awesome was December?

Goodness! This is a huge haul! I was incredibly spoiled this month.

I also did something this month that I almost never do. I read multiple books at once. And this is probably why I only completed four books (I’m really no good at multitasking). I currently have four more books on the go. This is super strange for me. But, also pretty great. I’m enjoying bouncing around all these different worlds and enjoying the feeling of freedom to jump from one story to another.

Along with trying to read many books at once, I played in a few other sandboxes.

Novel Tea Club’s Harry Potter Read-along

I joined this rad read-along on Facebook in November. I’ve been wanting to reread the Harry Potter series for a while now and this read-along came at just the right time to lure me in and give me an actual timeline. Not that I’m following the timeline all that well…I’m very behind on Chamber of Secrets at the moment due to the busyness of holidays and the overwhelming urge to attempt to read multiple books at the same time. But, I’m enjoying the company as I slowly go through these novels again. The read-along Facebook group is full of fun people who gladly post their thoughts on the books, share photos, and answer trivia and discussion questions. Basically, it’s a big virtual book club.

I started a Harry Potter read-along.

Another big part of December is always Christmas gifts. My family and friends are wonderfully sweet and always gift me some books. And, along with them, I participated for the second time in The Broke and The Bookish Secret Santa. My Santa, Kelsey (@kelsenator) from Kelsey’s Cluttered Bookshelf completely spoiled me.

I was completely spoiled in my 2016 #TBTBSanta gift from @Kelsenator.

 Chocolate. SO. MUCH. CHOCOLATE.

With the holidays, comes chocolate. My office, my home, my parents’ home. It’s everywhere. I have no problem with this.

My first bookish subscription box

You read that right. I have finally subscribed to a bookish subscription box. I’ve written about how amazing I think they are three times (here, here, and here). And, my sweet husband subscribed me to Novel Tea Club as my Christmas gift. He also gave me a Harry Potter box set, and both Leigh Bardugo books (Six of Crows, Crooked Kingdom).

I did my first unboxing video of the December Novel Tea Club box!

I was so excited to get my bookish subscription box that I did another first – I made a YouTube video! Check out my post about my December Novel Tea Club box and watch my unboxing video. (And if you like, subscribe to my channel?)
