Exciting things are coming to trishajennreads
I’m pretty stoked to announce that I’ve signed up for some exciting book tours for June. One is Saving Montgomery Sole, a YA contemporary book I’m quite looking forward to reading. Check out my review of it on June 14. The second blog tour I’m a part of this month is even more exciting–my friend Todd is releasing his second work of fiction! His novella, Charades will be coming out June 26 and I’m organizing a blog tour to promote it. It is a literary novella about the stories people create around themselves. If you want to be a part of the Charades tour, let me know!

I’m loving this book haul. I didn’t pick up any books from Calgary Expo, but maybe I should have! 😧 What was the CBC Charity Book Sale?!! I completely missed this.
The Kite Runner has been on my Amazon to-buy list for ages (I keep forgetting). I can’t wait to see what you think of it!!

Eeep! You don’t know about the book sale? It’s wonderful. Every year CBC teams up with Calgary Reads (http://calgaryreads.com/) to help raise funds to go towards efforts to help kids who are struggling with their reading. The book sale happens every May and is so fun! Live music, tons of books for cheap, and so many people supporting an awesome charity. Book sale info here: http://calgaryreads.com/news-events/cbccalgary-reads-book-sale/. 🙂
Also, I’m stoked to read Kite Runner. I’m bringing it on my vacay soon. I’ll let you know my thoughts either here or Goodreads.

It was my birthday this month, and while I didn’t spend all my monies on books (which would have been lovely) I did manage to get a box set of The Rosie Project and The Rosie Effect by Graeme Simsion on sale. Which is a win for me. ^_^ I picked this series up on your recommendation! Need to finish Little Women first before I jump in, though. ^_~
