Today’s topic is: Top Ten Books that will make you laugh

Every book, no matter how dark or serious has to have a little bit of humour in it. Books that include more, however, are always welcome in my world!

Here are some books that made me laugh. Maybe they’ll make you laugh too.

Some funny fiction

Book cover of The Rosie Project by Graeme SimsionA Night in With Audrey Hepburn by Lucy Holliday stars the lovely Libby who gets in so many hilarious situations, such as ending up on the street in nothing but a paper thong due to a poorly signed emergency exit…*AWKWARD* and so, so funny.

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion has probably the funniest and sweetest main character I have ever, ever encountered. Who else, but Don Tillman would come up with the idea to find the perfect wife by having women fill out a sixteen page, scientific survey?

The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. This book is filled with so many unexpected moments. Allan Karlsson is quote the character with quite the fascinating history, and quite the love for explosives.

Some funny ladies

Book cover for Seriously, I'm Kidding by Ellen DegeneresSeriously, I’m Kidding by Ellen Degeneres is a book by Ellen Degeneres. How can it be anything but funny? And also rather insightful.

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And other concerns) by Mindy Kaling, who is absolutely adorable. Did you know her career started with a Ben Affleck impersonation? Yeah, I didn’t either.

Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling. I know, her again. But seriously, she’s funny. And her career path (and life…and dating life…) are very entertaining to read about.

Some funny for kids

Book cover for Toot by Leslie PartricelliToot by Leslie Patricelli. I’ve talked about this book before. I’ve also purchased many copies to give to my friends and family who have kids. Who doesn’t love a book about farts? Your kids will love this one as much as you do.

The Book With No Pictures by B.J. Novak is perfect for elementary kids. BUT–this book requires a fantastic and willing reader to read it aloud, all of it, with varying voices as suggested by the text. 🙂
